"In times of massive change, in times of wars and repression, everyday life begins to slip away."

In an old Soviet recording studio, a group of musicians record a composition based on Pushkin's "A Feast in Time of Plague".

A mysterious phenomenon intrudes - whether the spirits of the past or echoes of a catastrophe, it creeps unnoticed until the very end.

"Hymn Of The Plague" is a short film by Ataka51, a directors' collective of Philipp Ivanov, Alexander Epikhov, and Dimitri Gorbaty.

The collective formerly lived and worked in Moscow and is now based in Paris.

The international and world premiere of the film will take place at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival in August 2024, where it has been selected in the "Pardi di Domani" International Competition.

The film is presented and produced by in Co-Production with Stereotactic, a film and commercial production house based in Moscow, Russia.
